How EDGE Capital Invests
1 mandate, 1 geography hierarchy, 1 set of criteria, and 1 ownership methodology. EDGE Capital invests where infrastructure relevance, operational control, and institutional ownership discipline can be combined.
6 Sectors. No Adjacencies
The mandate is concentrated in sectors that support digital capacity, connectivity, computing, localisation, and recurring service delivery across MENA. EDGE Capital does not invest outside this perimeter.
- 01
ICT Infrastructure
Businesses that design, deploy, operate, or support essential ICT infrastructure.
- 02
AI Infrastructure
Physical and digital foundations for enterprise and sovereign AI deployment.
- 03
Data Centres
Data-centre assets, operating platforms, and enabling services for resilient workloads.
- 04
Telecom
Network infrastructure, equipment, systems, and services for operators and enterprises.
- 05
Local Manufacturing
Manufacturing that strengthens regional infrastructure and technology supply chains.
- 06
Managed Services
Recurring service platforms with defined service levels and accountable delivery.
Geographic Mandate
Mandate hierarchy
- 01Saudi ArabiaPrimary market
Infrastructure expansion, technology capacity, localisation and institutional operating requirements.
- 02UAE2nd market
Regional platforms, digital infrastructure and cross-border operating models.
- 03GCCExtension
Selective opportunities where the sector thesis and ownership model transfer.

Considered selectively.
- 05MENAExtension
Considered selectively.
3 Criteria. All Required
Structural Relevance
The business must address an identifiable infrastructure, capacity, or service requirement. Demand should be supported by market structure rather than a short-term commercial assumption.
Controllable Value Creation
The ownership position must provide sufficient governance rights to influence execution. The value-creation plan must translate into accountable initiatives, operating measures, and decision rights.
Executable Exit Path
A credible route to strategic transfer, institutional ownership, or market liquidity must exist from the outset. Exit readiness is assessed alongside entry, not after value creation has been completed.
The EDGE Framework
Establish, Develop, Grow, and Exit operate as 1 integrated system, with each stage defined at entry and managed through ownership. The same framework applies to every investment in every fund vehicle.
Establish
Found the company as an institution: governance, capital design, thesis clarity.
Lead engine · MarketDevelop
Build the operating system: talent, delivery capability, financial control.
Lead engines · Operations · TalentGrow
Scale with discipline; let the market audit the model.
Lead engine · FinancingExit
Design liquidity and value realization from Day 1 — exit as discipline, not event.
Governance & market readiness
4 Stages, 4 Engines, 1 Cycle
The 4 stages run as a loop, gated at every transition. Beneath them 4 engines — Market, Talent, Financing and Operations — must run in phase. Value compounds when they do.
Governance Philosophy
Governance is installed from Day 1 and designed around clear authority, reliable information, and accountable execution. Governance is treated as an operating mechanism, not a compliance overlay.
Exit Discipline
Exit is designed from Day 1. The intended routes, readiness requirements, and institutional standards are considered before capital is deployed, informing governance, reporting, and investment pacing throughout.

This Concept Is Applied Through AGIF
AGIF-1 and AGIF-2 apply the mandate, criteria, and framework above to distinct national project pipelines.
